GREASE TANKS
We offer cleaning of the outside in-ground grease tanks. We do not clean the inside grease traps that many restaurants have under the sink, etc.
Most newer restaurants have large in-ground grease tanks or interceptors that work like a septic tank.
These interceptors catch/retain the grease and prevent it from entering the sanitary sewer system where it can cause blockage problems.
Routine cleaning to remove the grease and waste water is necessary to keep the grease out of the sewer or from causing a backup in the building.
Grease tanks need to be large enough for the incoming water to cool in the tank. This allows the grease to separate and become a semi-solid in the tank.
Most municipalities now are requiring grease tank cleaning under their FOG (fats, oil, and grease) programs.
